El Salvador Bourbon (Green)

Welcome Fresh Roast Home Roasters!
We started out as home roasters, just like you. So, this is our way of giving back to the community.

Please respect a 13 pound per customer limit, with any mix of the available green offerings. This is to help ensure that more people may enjoy these coffees. If, there is more left at the end of a distribution, we’ll happily allow 2nd orders.

If you wish to buy roasted beans, please place a separate order (Currently – a mixed order of roasted/green only allow local pickup).

El Salvador Bourbon, high-grown single origin.

Powerful, intense, deep. Heavy syrupy mouthfeel and mild acidity. A balance of subdued dark toffee-nut flavors with a hint of cocoa and a dense dark brown sugar finish.

This single origin is an amazing espresso. It also blends exceptionally well with bright, fruits, spicy and citrus-laden coffees.

A superb espresso: thick, heavy, rich with deep caramel, brown sugar and hints of bittersweet chocolate.

Roast Notes:

This bean can handle nearly any roast level. Darker roasts bring out even more of the already heavy body. Recommended roasts are City+, Full City (start of 2nd crack), and Full City +.

This bean may be one of the best high-end blending beans we have found. Its rich depth and heavy mouthfeel work incredibly well with many other coffees, especially where the other pairings have bright or sharp flavors (fruit, acidity, citrus, nuttiness, chocolate, earthiness, spice, etc).

I like it at a Full City Roast best. I roast enough for the week.
Jeff is very generous in sharing his knowledge about coffee.
I am using a pop-corn popper. It requires only eye and ear for skill level. Duplication from week to week is more intricate as you add temperature and time to the equation!
    Lots of fun!
